This rare Kalua pineapple ukulele was made in post war japan cir 1940's -1950's. The back, sides and neck a finished in such a way that it looks like black lacquer which is very popular in Japan, it has a spruce top which is intricately inlayed with abalone around the top and sound hole, notice the very unique pattern. This is a solid well built ukulele with a straight neck and it is even a good player.
Condition report; one crack top left of sound hole running under fret board.
