This very rare K.Kamaka ukulele was one of the first ukuleles Sam Kamaka made by hand when he first started making ukuleles in the basement of his house in 1916. The very first lable Sam Kamaka used was in the style of a cigar band placed over the heal joint on the base of the ukulele; it read { K.Kamaka Honolulu, Hawaii. } On the back of the headstock notice the Honolulu Ad Club Tabu Made In Hawaii mark burnt into the wood most early ukuleles made in Hawaii have this stamp the Tabu mark was used from 1916 to the early 1930's.
