This amazing Hollywood #10 concert ukulele was made in the 1930's by Schireson Bros. This #10 is not made out of the customary Hawaiian Koa wood, its back and sides are made out of Brazilian Rosewood and the top is spruce which is a much lighter wood  it's rainbow like abalone purfling and sound hole rosette really stand out against the deep dark richness of the Rosewood. As can be seen in the photos this 90+ years old ukulele is in amazing original condition however it was well taken care of and this is a one of a kind ukulele that is a beautiful work of art and perfect for the player collector.

Schireson Hollywood #10 Spruce top Concert

When I found this ukulele for sale this was the exact listing and description; it was so amazingly over the top I thought it must have been made with A.I.

You be the judge

In any case it is very amusing and I wanted to share it with the world, enjoy!

Ah, gather 'round, folks, let's chat about the swanky world of Schireson Hollywood ukuleles, where even the humble uke gets a taste of stardom! Crafted by the English luthier-turned-Hollywood artisan, Robert E. Pearson, these ukes are more dressed up than a starlet at the Oscars. Here is the crème de la crème, the #10 model, ready to blind you with its bling. This uke is so fancy, it could probably demand its own dressing room. Picture this: rosewood body with spruce top, sparkling with abalone like it's wearing its own jewelry, and a koa/mahogany neck that's all dolled up with ivoroid-bound ebony and fancy pearl inlays. It's so lavish; even its bridge and nut dared to be carved out of real ivory. This uke doesn't just play music; it practically struts down the red carpet. What's the signature move of a Hollywood uke, you ask? Well, they're unicorns in the uke world, with body sides bent from a single piece of wood – no seams here, darling, we're all natural...sort of. In the glamorous ensemble of Hollywood ukuleles, even the ukes are ready for their close-up. Turn the lights, camera, and action on these beauties because they're not just musical instruments; they're stars in their own right. Alright, let's paint the picture of the Schireson Hollywood Ukulele, a majestic uke of legend, nestled comfortably between myth and melody. Imagine, if you will, a ukulele so rare that it’s often whispered about in the dim corners of music stores, where the vintage posters look down in awe and the strings of lesser instruments vibrate in anticipation. The Schireson Hollywood, a name that rolls off the tongue like a sweet melody, has been spotted in the wild, its condition so excellent that it practically strums itself, save for that rebellious scratch on the side—a battle scar, perhaps, from a rock 'n' roll duel with a rogue guitar pick. This ukulele isn’t just a musical instrument; it’s a veritable unicorn in a forest of standard stallions. "Sure, it's no Martin 5K," one might say, attempting to feign disinterest, only to then spend sleepless nights haunted by the memory of its exquisite form and the strummed whispers of its strings, echoing the price evaluations ranging as wildly as a jazz solo, from $3500 to a staggering $10,000. What's it worth? That's like asking how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop—an existential query of the highest order. In the grand tradition of priceless artifacts, it is indeed only worth what one is willing to offer. But let me tell you, to hold the Schireson Hollywood is to hold a fragment of music history, a piece of a star-studded sky that once watched over Hollywood's golden era. So, gather 'round, uke aficionados and collectors of the eclectic. Here lies the opportunity to own not just an instrument, but a story—a legend that strums the heartstrings of those who dare to dream of the unicorn, the one and only Schireson Hollywood Uke. Will you be the one to capture this mythical creature? Or will it slip through your fingers like the elusive chords of a forgotten tune, leaving you to wonder if you ever saw it at all?
